Iiiiiiiiiiiit’s…. NaNo time!!!!!!! That’s right, folks despite the fact that I’m posting three days late, it is finally that craziest, zaniest, frazzled-est, caffeinated-est of months, November! Or, as I better know it, National Novel Writing Month. The idea is to write 50,000 words in thirty days and finish a story, all without using any prose you’ve written before midnight on the first. That’s a quota of 1,667 words per day, daunting, but doable. This will be my fourth year attempting, and (hopefully) my third year winning. I’ve got No Plot, No Problem, Ready, Set, Novel!, the No Plot, No Problem novel-writing kit, and finally, the hint of an idea. I’m unfortunately already a little short—I didn’t quite hit my quota yesterday, but soon, all that will be remedied, as we’ve hit the first weekend! I’ll try to keep you somewhat abreast of my progress, but most of my word crafting needs to go into this little manuscript that I’m going to do my darnedest to finish by the end of the month. Wish me luck!
